Fume Extraction Systems
Fume extraction systems are essential for removing harmful fumes in production assembly and rework operations, including hand soldering, solder pots, adhesives, chemicals, solvents and sealants. Airborne particulates generated during these processes can pose serious health hazards. These systems effectively eliminate such risks. Most solder products contain fluxes, either rosin or synthetic, which release harmful fumes and gases when heated. Many adhesives contain chemicals and solvents that can create an unsafe working environment.
To ensure a safe working environment, fume extraction and filtration systems are crucial when handling adhesives, glues, aerosols, soldering systems, and solvents. These systems help in the removal and reduction of fumes, vapours, mists, particles, and dust, complying with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations of 2002 and 2004.
Filtration systems re-circulate filtered air safely back into the workplace through a series of filters, while extraction systems exhaust filtered air via a flexi-duct out to the atmosphere, typically outside the room or building.
Adhesive Dispensing Ltd provide a wide range of equipment options for dispensing almost all assembly fluids - from watery liquids, solvents, primers and activators through to thick pastes, sealants, silicones, gels and epoxies.
